About Us

Adam's Fruits started in 2015 when Adam took over the long-established Coal Aston Greengrocers, which has been serving the local community since 1986. Building on earlier roots at Harthill Fruit & Veg, the aim was simple, great produce, friendly service, and doing things properly.

Since then, the business has grown steadily and now serves over 40,000 customers each year through shops and home deliveries. During the pandemic, we were proud to support the community by delivering up to 300 orders a week at our busiest. In 2020, this was recognised with the John Robert Clough Award for Best Business Contribution to the Community, something we're still very proud of.

Adam visits our suppliers every morning to hand-pick the best produce available. That means better quality, plenty of seasonal variety, and some special items you won't always find on supermarket shelves.

We also care about doing things responsibly. In 2019, we introduced the area's first liquid refill station and expanded our zero-waste range, earning the title of Dronfield's first Plastic Free Champion.

Supporting local and independent producers is really important to us. From fresh bread arriving daily from Bakewell Bakery, to teas, coffees, ethical groceries and award-winning preserves, we love working with people who care as much about food as we do.

Whether you choose one of our seasonal boxes or send us a shopping list, every order is hand-picked on the morning of delivery by our small, friendly team.
